This unique workshop is about more than painting – it’s an opportunity to slow down\, connect with the landscape\, and explore your creativity through colour\, texture\, and mark-making using acrylic inks. These classes will reflect the way Adele works in her own practice. She will focus on developing your confidence\, understanding of colour and light\, and encourage you to paint intuitively rather than striving for perfection. Her aim is to create classes that are encouraging\, inspiring and most of all liberating\, where you can experiment\, ask questions and build up confidence and knowledge in the medium. \nThis two day workshop includes a forest bath – an opportunity to immerse oneself in nature to engage your senses\, slow down and let the inspiration of the land wash over you. \nThese classes are suitable for both beginners and intermediates. DESCRIPTION:Learn the traditional craft of Shona stone carving with Hilary Manuhwa\, a master stone carver who joins us all the way from Zimbabwe. \nIn this hands-on creative weekend\, Hilary will guide you through the process of carving your own artwork\, from start to finish\, demonstrating techniques and offering 1 to 1 assistance. Shona stone carving is a globally renowned art movement originating from Zimbabwe\, characterized by hand-carved sculptures that blend Shona spiritual beliefs with depictions of family\, nature\, and folklore. Primarily crafted from serpentine springstone\, and verdite\, these sculptures are often abstract or stylized\, frequently polishing the stone to a high sheen while leaving raw\, textured sections for contrast. \nThis workshop will take place in the heart of our sculpture park\, surrounded by artwork and nature. This is an opportunity to learn new skills in a serene and inspiring environment under the guidance and support of a master craftsman. All materials and tools are provided.
